In this final scene of the play, we learn that Lady Dedlock is still in love with Sebastian. She tells Sebastian that he is welcome to come and see her, but that he should not say anything that would make her want to leave him. Instead, she tells him that she wants to see him "gasp smack" if he ever forgets about her. Sebastian, however, does not want to see her "gasp slap" because he knows that she will never forget him. He tells her to "prance as you wish / As you wish, my lady" and kisses her on the lips. He then tells her that he will return by the time she is on her feet again.
