In this short scene, Ruchi tells us that he's been having a hard time getting away from Asuka. He's not sure if he'll ever be able to get away from her. He doesn't want her to think that she's the only one who's having a bad day. He tells her to stop running away from him and to stop being so mean to him. He also tells her that she should stop playing coy with him. Ruchi says that he can't give her any more of his time, and that he just wants to have a drink of his own. He asks Ruchi what he thinks brought on the "sakura curse" . He says that general splat would back up his theory that it was "psychosomatic" and linked to Ruchi's relationship with her mother and her "pop" , and he says that's why she was kicked out of her house. He wants to know what's going on, and Ruchi asks if her parents are "decent" or not, and she says that they are not. She says that if you asked her whether being a "decent person" was worth the "value" that people place on it, she'd say that no.
