"Shu my lord" , the servant cries out to his master, who kneels before him and apologizes for the long delay in their meeting. He tells his master that his mother is "a slave" and that his feelings for her are "entirely pure" . He asks his master if there is anything he needs him to do, and the servant tells him that he was there when he interrogated Lanyao. He says that he knows full well what he is and his feelings are "nothing if not pure" and asks if he is sure that he does not have feelings for him. The servant says that if he has any questions, he should not hesitate to bring them up with him.
