In this short scene, Ren tells his father that he wants Ren to help him in his studies. He tells Ren that he has to pass a test in order to be considered for a scholarship. Ren tells him that he must do everything he can to fulfill his mother's wishes. Ren says that his mother wants to see Ren because she is the daughter of a young master and Ren's master wishes to see him. Ren explains that Ren has been practicing his martial arts for a long time, but that Ren still hasn't mastered them. He says that Ren is fragile because she doesn't know how to use her martial arts to save her own life.
