In this chapter, we learn that Hiroshi confessed to the police that he was in love with Miss Noriyuki, and that he wanted her to marry him. In order to protect her, Hiroshi decided to back away from her. He tells us that he's not sure if he'll be able to get away with it, but he does know that he likes her.
