The next morning, Shumetsu and his cat, Shuchi, are still at the fortress, waiting for one of the knights from the previous day to return. The cat knight is riding on the other side of the fortress with the captain of the army, who is also the cat knight. Shumi, the cat Knight, asks the captain if he can spare some food for his cat. The captain tells Shumi that the army cannot move because of the presence of the demon, but Shumi begs the captain to allow the two to join forces.
