In this chapter, we learn that the two of them are going to be apart from each other for three months, and that they're going to miss each other a lot. The narrator tries to cheer him up by saying that he'll be able to grow up while he's away, but he can't stop himself from saying, "pound pound pound kiss" . He also says that his father likes to have coffee in his kitchen while he and his mom are playing together, and he hopes that they can make it happen. He asks the narrator to help him make his dream come true, and the narrator says that he has a letter from Toji Sagara, who wants to come to the U.S. for a reception party. In the letter, Toji tells the narrator that since his life was filled with itsuki, he can take leave of absence. He says that if the narrator has time, he'd like to take part in the reception party, which will be held in the United States.
