In this chapter, we are introduced to a young man named Hong Kong Lim, who is a student at a technical college. He has come to see his daughter, Mika, and to apologize to her mother, who has been worried about her son. He tells her that he has become a student and that he is worried that she has let a boy trick her into thinking that she is in love with him. He warns her that if the boy leaves her, it will be very difficult for her to get married. He also tells her to think seriously about her future, as he has always been harsh with her. He then tells her about an offer he has received to work as a barista in his coffee shop. He says that his boss wants to support his dream of opening a coffee shop, and every year, one person takes part in an overseas program in order to study the latest technology. His boss also tells him that one day, he will be able to travel abroad as well.
