In this short scene, we learn that the prince has been reading aloud from his favorite picture book, "Prince shizuyas adventure" , to himself. When he finds out that the book is about a princess and a demon, he is horrified. He begs the princess to marry him and save the horse, but the princess refuses. The prince asks the king for permission to come back to his kingdom with him, and the king agrees.
