In this short scene, we learn that Hiroyuki's mother has forbidden him to see his younger brother. Hiroyuki tells us that he has a terrible scar on his left shoulder, and he begs his mother to let him come up and see him. He says that his mother has told him that the scar is his fault, and that he is older than his brother. He tells Hiroyuki that he used to be his brother's friend, but that he will no longer be his friend until he becomes an adult. When Hiroyuki tries to kiss him, the kiss hurts him, and the scar makes him uncomfortable.
