The scene opens with a couple of men in their mid-thirties trying to break into a club. One of them is a man named "Makotokashiwagi" , and the other is a woman named "Madame" . The man in the middle is trying to "squish" the woman in front of him. The woman in the upper part of the room is Madame Darnay, and she is in a hurry to get back to her job. The two men start to argue about who should be in charge of the club and who should run it. The men argue about whether it's proper for a man to run the club or a woman to run it, and finally Madame Dupuis comes up with the idea that the two men should go to the club together.
