The next morning, Hirokazu asks to be taken to his room, but he is unable to do so because he is on guard. When he returns, he finds that he has forgotten his cell and that he is hungry. He asks if he can have some tea with Mr. Miwa and Kenji, but they are not allowed in his room. He tells them that he was drunk the night before and acted weird. He also tells them about their school trip, in which they went on a date and walked barefoot on a beach. They were in different groups on the trip, but the two of them slipped out and walked on the beach as if they were in a different group. They took pictures of each other as though they were still in the same group, but as it felt like they were apart from each other. They are both grateful for the order, and Hiroki tells him to take his time.
