The scene opens with a flashback to the previous scene, in which Hirokazu tells Asuka that he has "stopped" his relationship with her. He tells her that he is sorry for the trouble he has caused her, and that he would do anything for her, even if it meant that she would be killed. He says that he wants to experience heaven while he is still on earth, but that she has not taught him anything that he does not already know. He asks her to warm him up, and she does so.
