The narrator asks the girl to accompany him on his search for Asuka. The girl refuses, saying that she wants to stay with her cousin, Kusunoki, who wants to see the school library. The narrator tells the girl that he is sorry that she has been unable to give him the tour of the library, but she blushes and says that she is sorry she looks so good with the flowers. She says that the professor has been acting strange, and that she cannot keep bringing Asuka to her university. She tells the story of how she followed her scent of the flowers to find the girl, and how she was able to tell her where she was because she was a girl friend of hers. When the girl asks where the flowers came from, the narrator tells her that they came from something called "the what" .
