The chapter opens with a flashback to Longya's conversation with the bastard. Longya asks his brother what he should do now that she has met him. He tells her that she should go to the closed library and steal books from there, but that if he is caught, he will be expelled from the academy. The bastard tells Longya that there are many books in the library, and that the method to help him "condense his sound spirit" may be found in ancient books. The narrator tells us that this is the "library of the yang-ming academy" , where his brother said that he has the most "complete collection of books" in the fairy-nine realms. He says that he must find a method to condense his "sound spirit" from the books, but he is unable to find any clues in the books. He is afraid that the library is getting late, and he asks the fairy to hush him. The fairy tells him that the door to the library has closed, and they will not be disturbed tonight. He asks if there is anyone else there, and the fairy answers that there is. He then asks if he has his identity nameplate on him.
