In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist is a student at the university of science, technology, and cultivation, located in Fucheng, Sichuan Province, China. He is studying to be a scientist, and he has just received an order for some spirit-rune products from the university's flagship store. The protagonist complains that the store's products are not of high quality, and that the prices are too high. He also complains about the fact that the university has one courtyard for students to practice in, which makes it difficult for them to practice safely during the day. He feels that his luck has been not so good lately, and so he returns to work on the product.
