About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a discussion of the recent events in Chicago. The narrator reminds the audience that the incident was not a message from God, but a cowardly act carried out by "damn cowards" who killed a man. He reminds everyone that "extreme trauma" is the "trigger for ignition" and that "women who ignited yes" are also at fault for the attack. The doctor interrupts the discussion to tell the narrator that he knows what he is going through. He tells him that he has an amazing ability he never had before. He asks the narrator to come back to his lab and discuss the situation with him. He says that he caught fire and wanted to offer his condolences and his help. He adds that anti-semitism and terrorism are on the rise in the world and that he would like to be a part of the solution. He suggests that the rabbi need more than a security guard to do holy work against them. He points out that there has been an increase in the number of immigrant communities in the United States and that the two cells that were eradicated a year ago were not eradicated this time. He warns that if they do not have enough police to fight the attackers, it will be "in style"
