The narrator tells us that he's going back to school first. He's sorry, but he doesn't want to see the bad side of himself. He says that he and Lu changed to a different school because he had to tell him something important. So far, Lu hasn't spoken to him. The narrator asks Lu if he still wants to give everything up for him. He asks if he'll give up everything if he never meets Lu and the boy again, and if he can't go back to his old life, he asks Lu to show him his determination.
