When the narrator returns home, he finds that his wife is sleeping with her husband. He tells his wife that he is going to touch her just once so that she won't wake him up. She is horrified and asks him if he is mad at her. The narrator tells her that they are family and that she should not protest like this. He goes on to say that they could have a talk in the office and that he would whisper to her if she were mad at him
