In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "Swish." He is the son of a real estate owner, and he has just graduated from college with his classmates. He is now working as a waiter at a restaurant in New York City. He has heard that the owner's daughter and her husband are both classmates at the same school. Swish is shocked to see his father-in law and his husband in the same restaurant, but he does not know what to make of it. He asks the waiter if it is okay for him to come in without working, and the waiter replies that it is, but that he is looking for a massage. The waiter asks if the owner is his friend, but the waiter says he is not, and Swish exclaims, "Isn't he his friend? The waiter replies, "Are you his friend?" Swish then asks if he wants to have a "facial massage." The waiter says no, but Swish says he just wants to get a "massage." Swish, shocked, says, "Flip no, i mean, um... surprise, clang it cant be!" Swish goes on to say that he will take a bath, and that he cannot allow anyone to enter the restaurant. He then asks where his daughter went, and is horrified to find out that her daughter is in the restaurant with her husband. He wonders how she could allow a man into the restaurant, and wonders if she cares
