"You see the sniff" , the narrator tells us. It's not a line from a movie, it's a line that he picked up on his way home from work. He tells us that he's so happy to have met Mr. Roberts. He says that he was afraid of the beginning and endings of love, but now that this is over, he feels "the happiest he'd ever felt in his life" .
