The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which a young girl named Milady has been hired as a prostitute at a cafe. Milady is shocked to find out that the man who hired her was paying her to have sex with a customer. She tells Milady that she would never do such a thing, but Milady says that since she's a dom, she can't do it. She asks Milady if there's anything else she can do for the day, and Milady tells her that there are some changes in the business. She says that they have a new brand of tea that's popular right now, considering the cost, and that Milady would like to try it out, though Milady doesn't know how to do that. She also says that she quit all her other jobs to come work at the cafe, because she'd like to learn more about business and how to run a business, and she wants Milady to teach her some of the things she needs to know about running a small business, like how to make a profit and how not to waste money on things that don't pay enough. She's also worried about Milady's low level of understanding of business, so Milady suggests that she teach Milady some of her business skills, like multitasking, which Milady can do very well, and how Milady should be more attentive to the needs of her customers, since Milady isn't very good at multitasking. Mijaya says that he's been watching Milady for a month now, so he knows Milady well enough to tell Milady the truth: Milady quit all of her other part-time jobs because she couldn't find a job that paid her more than her own tuition, which she was going to have to pay for herself, so she left her family's house to go work for Milady.
