In this short scene, we are introduced to a young man who has just returned from a trip to the seashore. He is called "Turtle" and we are told that he is the son of Turtle's father, who was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Turtle tells us that he has come to visit his father because he is afraid that his father will kill him if he does not comply with his father's wishes.
