The scene opens with a conversation between a "sexless wife" and her husband. The sexless wife has been watching them for a long time. The husband and wife are in the middle of a conversation about a new drink, when the wife asks if they are safe. They say they are, and the husband says he has to go back to his office. The wife asks him why he never does anything special for her, and he replies that he is going to buy her a present for her birthday. He tells her that he has never bought a gift for his wife before, and that she always wants a mug. He says that he should buy this mug for her because she is always looking for one. He goes on to explain that he kept his junior company while he went shopping, and then he bought him a gift. He asks why he gave him such a nice gift, and she says that she was just all, "it, treasure, because you gave us a present all-a-sudden . .
