The chapter opens with a soliloquy by the sexless wife. She tells us that she finds pleasure in the end, and that she's happy to be with shinji. She's so tired that she doesn't even have time to cook dinner. She hears a message from shinji saying that he's going to a "drink ing party" , and she runs off to get it. When she gets back, she finds out that he sent her a message saying he'd like to see her again, but that he didn't want to repeat the previous day's encounter. He's totally psyched, and tells her that they'll do it again anytime. He also tells her to take off her gown and lie on her face.
