The two men are interrupted by the sound of someone's voice, which they assume to be the leader of a chemistry club. The leader of the club, clatter, enters, and the two men discuss the situation. The chemistry club is supposed to be a place where young men learn how to work together, but the leader seems to be in charge of the whole thing. The men discuss what they should do now that they have lost the young men, and they decide to make a new medicine that will help them to return to their former selves. The young man, however, is not satisfied with the results of the first potion, and is heartbroken that he is no longer a member of the group
