The scene opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, where the narrator tells the audience that Tsuji is a "slut" and that he is "not slutty" . The flashback is interrupted by the sound of a crack in the door. The narrator asks the audience to imagine what it must be like to be wet inside and make her fingers "no" , and to imagine how it must feel to be a "real" woman. The audience imagines what it would be like for the narrator to show the audience a sex scene from his own body, and imagines that the narrator would show the sex scene to Mr. Harker, who would then be hurt by the sight of it. The scene ends with the narrator asking the audience if they believe that the sex between the two of them is a game of "make believe," and if they did not know that it was going to happen, why did they come to the scene in the first place.
