It's been a while since we've heard from Roxane, and now she's back on stage. She's still moping and moping about how she'd never done anything like this to Tom, and how she would never have done it to Tom either, if she hadn't been in love with him, or if he'd been a jerk to her. We're guessing that's because she doesn't have the brains to figure out what's going on between her and Tom. Roxane's not the only one who thinks that Tom is a jerk, either. She also thinks that he's the one who's responsible for the whole thing, and that he should've been able to quit before it got out of hand. She tells him to shake off his "lust" and "instinct" if he really wants to stop doing it, and she says he should do it if he wants to get away with it. She says she'll shake off her "swamp" if she wants to, and then she tells him that he needs to "shake" his "stiff" body, which she calls "the twitchy mat-watch" . She warns him that if he does it, he'll have to "smile satis-to" , and he should shake off the "twitch" of his body. He says he can't do that, because his "true self" is so "dizzy dizzy" that he won't be able to shake it off. He asks her to join the "drama club," and she agrees to do so.
