Ziye has turned into the ghost. He tells the others that they must kill him. He says that he has always been thinking of the meaning of life, and that now that he is at the "gate of death," he has finally found the purpose of life. He wants to become Ziye, but he says that it is yifanzhou who has put him in this predicament. He blames himself for not being able to survive as a human. The countdown to death has made the humans lose their minds, and they will not be able to catch Ziye. The ghost has not all died, but only those who have lost themselves. The real ghost, he says, is the one who has lost himself.
