Unaware of what's going on behind her back, Ling goes to talk to Su-Lin. She's worried about what she's seen, and she'd like to know what the heck is going on. Ling tries to calm her down, but she can't bring herself to say anything. Ling is worried about her, too, because her arm is broken, and her leg is missing. Ling's not worried, she says, because she has seen the other employees of the company hurt her. Ling doesn't know what to do, so she tries to talk her out of it. She says that she'll talk to her boss, and then she can figure out how to get the truth out. She wants to know who the people who killed her son were, and if they're from the family that killed him. Ling wants to leave, but Ling won't let her. She tells him to go to the washroom first, and when he gets there, she tells him not to eat so much chicken, because it's bad for his liver. Ling tells her to shut up, but when she gets back to the office, she finds out that the other two employees didn't have the guts to tell her the truth. Ling decides that she needs to catch up with the truth, and so she leaves.
