In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, Miss Ling. Miss Ling has just gotten out of the university gate and is waiting for her master, who is waiting at the college gate for her. She is surprised to find that the master is waiting there with his "superstar" friends. She asks the master if he has an umbrella. The master tells her that he does not have an umbrella and that his car is getting wet because of her. He tells her to take her to his room and change her wet clothes before she goes to bed. He says that he has prepared her new clothes for her and that she will be very happy to see them
