In this short scene, we learn that Lingziyu has run away from her boss and is now hiding in the middle of the night in a poor part of town. She has been followed by a group of men who are looking for her, and she is afraid that they are trying to capture her. She tries to find her, but they are too busy chasing after her to give her any help, so she falls off the balcony and runs to the other side of town, where she finds the other men waiting for her. They tell her that they have seen her running away, and that she must be in the western part of the town, but she is too scared to go there, so they take her to a nearby restaurant, where they sit down to have a drink. She tells them that she remembers the wine that was sent to her in the bar three days before her parents died, which means "final death" . She says that she hopes that she can live, but that they would make her more painful.
