"Thank you, close the book" , says the narrator, who wants to get away from the "scum" . He's owed three favors from the master, and he wants to make sure that he doesn't get into any more trouble. He begs the master to give him some clothes for the night, but the master refuses, saying that it's his bedroom. The narrator asks where he's going to sleep that night, and the master says that he'll sleep with her. The next morning, the narrator asks the master if he can sleep with him. The master tells him that he can, but only if he follows the master's orders. If the narrator does not follow his orders, the master will let him "pay me back" right away.
