When the transmitter gets interfered with, the two men realize that they must find each other. They decide to wait until the other man recovers before leaving the place alive. The father tells his son to rest in peace, that he has been kind to him because he is trying to revive his son, and that if he can make his son "recalled," he will be happy for him too. He tells the boy that he is sorry about his son's death, but that he would not want his father to be like this for him. He says that the gas does not affect him at all, and he is surprised that the mushroom monster could not knock him down, but he was beaten by some "anasthetic gas." The father says that he will have to go to the main division of the church to get to it, and it will cost him a lot to do so. He also says that they still have two of their friends who need protection, and they will pay all the expenses for their journey.
