In order to see how much loot he can get from killing two monsters, the Master of the Manor decides to open the portal to the underworld. He tells Bai Ling that he has released the second of the "scarecrows" into the dungeon, and that it will affect the Master. He explains that for a while, Lord devo feared that his power would overwhelm him, but now that he is stronger, he is able to kill all the heroes in one hit. He says that he will become an "ultimate hero" if he can defeat the Master, but that he still has one more day to kill him. He asks the Master to survive one of his attacks and he will pass.
