About This Chapter
Back on board the pirate ship, the captain of the ship that was supposed to take the captain and his men to the port of Marseilles complains to the other pirates that the captain has reneged on his promise to give the captain the black pearl. The captain says that the pirates have both the ship and the pearl, and that they will lose if they continue to trade them for the captain's freedom. The pirate replies that it is his fault that they ended up in Marseilles, and he says that he has experience dealing with pirates. He says that it has been awhile since the agreement had been reached, but it seems that the ship has sunk into the deeps. He asks the captain where they are meeting, and the captain replies that they must deal with the pirates who have taken the prisoners. He also says that they can board the pearl to take them to a shipwreck cove. The pirates reply that they should not be in such hurry, and they should wait until the prisoners have turned themselves in and the two pirates have been brought to them.
