Captain Barbossa welcomes Elizabeth to Singapore and tells her that he needs a ship and crew for his new venture. He also tells her about a thief who tried to steal some navigational charts from his uncle's house. He asks her what she needs, and she tells him that she needs to convene a meeting of the pirate lords to discuss the code against the east trading company. She then asks him what he is looking for in the davy-jones locker room, and he says that he wants to know what it is that he has to offer the east indian traders. He then asks her if she is willing to cross the jack-spear in order to get what she wants.
