In this chapter, the King of the Blue Cloud and his wife, the Queen of the Pearl Spring, are on their way to the north, where they will live happily ever after. When they arrive at the castle, they are greeted by the guards, who tell them that they have come to kill the woman who is courting them. The queen of the cloud protests that she is not going to be killed, and she begs the guards to let her go. The guards agree, and the two women exit.
