In this short scene, Lee Cheong-san and his henchman, Lieutenant Oh, are trying to get into the house of lawyer Moon Chan-jong, but they are not allowed in. Lee is furious at the thought that Kimjin could kill him. He asks if the finger killer could have buried him like this, or if he cut his finger here or there, or whether he cut it at the crime scene. He also asks if he felt inferior to Kimjin, and if he believed that out of the 30 cases of Kimjin's murder how many murders he thinks he did himself. Lee says that he feels inferior because he is chasing a ghost. He says that all his colleagues who chased Kimjin also said the same thing. He then asks if they do not know the fear that the finger-killer has, and they say no. He tells them that they are going to kill him and reenact his first murder, and that he is the only person who can do it.
