The brigand and his lady-in-waiting discuss the situation at the camp and decide that they must get out of there immediately. The family has already been killed, and the family must be blamed for the whole thing. They decide to kill the family in order to achieve their goal. They also decide that the enemy is hiding out in the shadows and that they will be controlled by the enemy even if they manage to take over the camp. They go to investigate and find that the two men have suddenly become sick and vomited. They think that they have eaten spoiled food and are probably poisoned. The two men decide to prepare bean soup for the sick and bring it to the council hall so that they can get some more time to recover.
