About This Chapter
The next morning, the Ming family learns that the vice chief of the Ming army has sent a letter to the Ming camp telling them that the situation has gotten worse. He has also sent over a huge amount of crops, which the Ming troops can use to fortify their camp. The Ming family is shocked to learn that the Ming commander has bought a bunch of troops with his money. Ming tells his uncle that he is being too lenient with him after they left home. He also tells him that he should not have called his wife "miss yue" because she saved his life. Ming asks if his grandmother will be mad at him if she learns about the whole thing. Ming says that his grandmother is going to be mad if he tells her about it, so he just wants to tell her the truth. He says that the whole kidnapping is orchestrated by the Ming and theli families. First, they tricked Ming's troops into splitting up into two directions. Then they took an opportunity to rob his crops. After that, they treated Ming as a prey. They wanted Ming to lure their troop into a ravine to capture them. The tie army will be suffering serious casualties. Ming is shocked that his uncle would listen to his wife's story. He thinks that Ming is only acting innocently because he is naive to hide his real intentions. Ming reminds Ming that he was still having his hands over her body when he rescued her from the town.
