The mayor wants to know what's going on. Gulliver tells him that he's found the body of his father, and that his son has died. He also tells Gulliver that the royal order has made the bug cage so that no one will be able to attack it. The mayor asks if there's anything else that's changed, and Gulliver says nothing. He wonders if his mother is still alive, and wonders if her son is dead. He tells the mayor that he wants to take over the cage and be its new queen.
