In this chapter, the demon crows discuss the afterlife and the afterlife's laws of nature and heaven. They discuss how the afterlife is governed by nature and the laws of Heaven and Earth. They also discuss how they came to be trapped in the pool of Chaos. The demon crows believe that they were tricked into entering the pool and that the people who perished in it were either future elite members of a particular clan or a potential talent. They decide to get out of the pool first, since the coffin is large enough to hold a large amount of ice. They plan to use the ice coffin to refine some items and then return to Heaven.
