In this short scene, the audience is introduced to Mr. Lin and his son-in-law , the martial arts king , who are in the middle of a duel with the fourth-ranking martial king, the prince of the "zhou dong" . The two men argue about whether or not the king will allow the duel to take place. Worried about his son's safety, lin tells him that the matter of the duel will be decided by the king himself, but that wu-chen is the "most incredible geniuses" that he has ever seen. Believing that the "xuanji dynasty" is full of talent and evildoers, the two men decide to watch the fight together.
