In this short scene, Roxane laments the loss of her vow to the reaper. She realizes that someday, she will be able to look back on her life and think of it as beautiful. She asks Roxane if she is safe, and she tells her that she will return soon to her room. She tells Roxane that she needs to propose to Roxane's commander that Leah be made an official. Roxane asks what happened to Leah, and he says that she told him that she would go look for him. He says that he has not seen her since then, and that he knows that she has something to hide. He asks if there is technology that makes humans betray one another, and Roxane says that there is no such thing as such. He tells her to try and do something, but that only her head will do it
