In this short scene, we are introduced to Leah, a young girl who has lost everything to the reaper. She has lost her vow to the reaping man and is now the victim of a rumor that a strange monster has spread through the town. Leah curses the monster and calls for the townspeople to kill it. She tells them to hurry up and destroy the monster. She also tells them not to touch the monster, as it will curse them. The townspeople are horrified at Leah's treatment, but Leah begs them to remember that she prayed to an unknown god and that she was the one who prayed to the god. She begs Leah to find her and to love her back. She asks Leah not to leave her, as she seems to possess an "amazing" power. She explains that there is a contract between a human and a magical being in which the magical being can touch the human in order to save touch. She says that she has made a pact with the human and that on that day, she will be taking the human's power.
