About This Chapter
"The stripper's" is the title of this short scene, which takes place in the office of the owner of a bar. The owner is waiting for his partner, who has been called into the office. The man asks the owner if he can meet him at his favorite bar, and the owner says yes. He tells the man that he's going to head over to "moonlight" , which is a fancy way of saying "bar." The owner asks the man if he knows anything about cocktails, and he tells him that he doesn't. He says that he likes bars because they're great places to hang out, drink, and smoke. He also tells the owner that it's been ten years since he first started working at the bar, which makes the owner feel like he has known him since he was in high school. He's glad that things are going well for him and his partner. He then tells the story of a friend of his who is trying to break up a couple because one of the guys he likes is "straight." The friend says that whenever a guy finds out that the other guy is in love with someone who was once "straight," he tries to "make a move" on the guy.
