In this chapter, the narrator tells the reader that he is in love with a man named Kamaruku. He tells us that the man is a stripper, and that he used to talk about how he would get married, have lots of kids, and have a future with him. The narrator says that he was afraid to tell the man how he felt, because he thought it would ruin their friendship. After that, whenever he felt horny, he'd find a nice guy to have sex with. He says that the more he got to know the man, the more smitten he became. He's glad that his girlfriend dumped him back then, because it made him want to meet the man even more. He also says that when he first met the man at the pub, he thought he was the man's friend, and he didn't recognize him. Now that he's told the man that he loves him, he promises to work hard to be a good man.
