From that point on, the two friends kept going to the theater together. They would go out for drinks after the show and then go back to the hotel to have sex. The narrator tells us that he's living it up, but he'd like to see more of the kaoru. He asks if he can check out the aquarium the next time he gets a day off from school. The aquarium is full of fish, and the narrator thinks that the fish look like birds. He thinks they'd be tasty if they were grilled with salt and then boiled in soy sauce. He says he never thought he would laugh so hard at an aquarium.
