In this chapter, we learn that the origin of evil thoughts is lust. In other words, sex is the root of all evil. We meet a young man named "xi" who is obsessed with the strange floating box on the playground. He wants to take a picture of it, but he's worried that it's some kind of prank by someone who's trying to get a little bit of fame. He decides to go first to the classroom, where he'll find his mother.
